Many vintage film cameras and exposure meters rely on the constant voltage output from the mercury cell (1.35V). Since the environmental consideration, the mercury cell has been banned in the late 80s. Due to the voltage and battery behaviour differences, when using an alkaline battery on those cameras produce an incorrect reading. By using our adapter with the provided Zinc-air battery, it can replace the mercury battery and produce a correct meter reading.
